Service Description
The workshop Ceramic Starter 1 teaches you all the basic knowledge to work independently in a ceramic studio. You will learn the essentials around the different types of clay, glazes, tools, firing methods, things to do and to avoid. After the class you will be comfortable with the basic ceramic vocabulary, understand what clay bodies to work with and how to decorate your ceramics, using glazes and engobes. You will leave this session inspired and passionate about clay and ceramics. If you wish to gain experience in ceramic hand building methods please also book the Ceramic Starter 2 or the Wheel throwing, Beginners to learn the skills on the potters wheel.
