Ahryun and I met in London in 2017. She was studying at the Royal Collage of Art and I was a student at Central Saint Martins. From day 1 I was blown away by her ability to work so precisely with the material and her intense use of bright colours, which reminded me of the playful work I love, designed by the Memphis Design Group or the painter Yayoi Kusama. It excites me to see her work become more tactile and explorative over time.
We both ended up in Germany and finally found the time to do this interview together. I am happy to be able to introduce you to this wonderful ceramic artist and her joyful sculptures.
