What ceramics can be
Ceramics are made from clay. It is an organic material coming from our soil. It is natural and very versatile.
Clay has body-like features and changes states from soft, to leather hard, to bone dry, to stone hard, to glossy and shiny. Our ceramics say handmade, unique and full of life.
They are fired twice up to 1220*C and last a life-time.
Think interior objects, wall pieces, vases, unique table ware items, signature art works. Let's talk!

or a patron with an idea.
Anke has designed, created and collaborated with fashion designers, international brands, crystal manufacturers, gallerists and private design lovers. Collaboration is at the heart of her practice.

Delivery Time
Consider that there are no short cuts in ceramics. It is a slow process with weeks of creating, drying, firing and glazing. The earlier we start, the better.
Your Budget
If you have a budget in mind it helps me shape my ideas accordingly. Just a heads up, a 50% deposit is required to start production.
About Anke
Anke Buchmann is a Berlin based artist, designer, educator and founder of HANDFUL.
She stared working with clay in the age of 6 years and is a graduate of the University of the Arts Berlin (UdK) and Central Saint Martins - University of the Arts, London.
Anke is a winner of the NextGen Design Award and the Good Design Award and was selected VOGUE's favourite in 2023. She has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in London, Berlin and France.
