Service Description

No matter if you are a creative professional or inspiration seeker. There is something for you. Choose a theme or tell us what you would like to focus on. A. The Playful Kickstart (Inspiration) The coaching focusses on activating your explorative, playful and intuitive strength. With the help of clay and related materials you will find inspiration within you, while learning basic hand-building techniques to visualise your ideas. B. The Design Thinker (Ceramic Design) The coaching helps you improve your design skills. Informed by the methods taught at one of the world best art & design universities (Central Saint Martins) you will be introduced to the steps and techniques on how to develop your own designs. C. The Mini Retreat (Mindfulness & Awareness) The coaching is like a mini retreat. Through mindful activities you will be introduced to clay's healing qualities. You will learn techniques that you can afterwards apply on a regular basis yourself. You will leave refreshed, balanced and grounded. D. The Home Studio (Setting up) This session will help you create an inspiring work environment at home. You will learn what it takes to activate your muse and keep it alive in your own 4 walls. Anke will also share insights on working with clay at home (including health & safety, boundaries or potential). Your coach Anke Buchmann has grown as an artist and award winning designer in London with work exhibited at group and solo shows in Berlin and London. She has inspired individuals, groups and creatives with her work and clay workshops. Her work encompasses ceramic objects and embodied experiences through clay. Her overall interest lays in examining the different dimensions of experiences that come from the artist, the audience, the process and the object. She is following a 2-fold approach, balancing between experience in engagement and interaction, and material in the form of clay. In Summer 2018 Anke received a first class honours degree in Ceramics from Central Saint Martins in London. During her studies she has been nominated twice one of the best emerging creatives from the University of the Arts, London. She was the Winner of the NextGen Design Award in 2016 and won the Good Design Awards 2017. By Tate Modern Director Frances Morris Anke was selected and consulted as one of the most talented artists from UAL in 2018. Details The session can be held in english or german. It can take place in the HANDFUL studio or online.
